Terms & Conditions
Applies to purchases of: Session packages, individual sessions, couples therapy and workshops.
Pricing and Invoicing
- All prices include VAT.
- The applicable price is the one displayed in our booking system at the time of purchase.
- You will receive an invoice via email with details about your booking and information on how to find us online or in person.
- Prices may change without prior notice. No refunds are given for previously purchased services following price changes.
Cancellation
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before a session.
- For timely cancellations, payment is automatically refunded, or the session is returned to your session package.
- No-shows or late cancellations will be deducted from your session package or charged in full.
Session Packages
Validity
- Session packages are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.
- Session packages are non-refundable.
Termination by Us
- We reserve the right to terminate the session package before expiration if:
- The service is discontinued
- Serious illness or other unavoidable circumstances prevent us from providing the service
- In such cases, compensation will be provided for remaining sessions based on the original value.
Installment Payments
- When purchasing session packages with installment payments, all payment terms must be observed.
- If payment is missed, the session package will be suspended and cannot be used until payment is received.
Personal Use and Transfer
- The session package code is personal and linked to you as the purchaser.
- The code may only be shared with one other person and only after written notification to us via our contact form.
- Only one transfer per session package is permitted.
- Sharing the code is at your own risk β we are not liable for misuse.
Discount Codes and Vouchers
Valid Codes
- Discount codes and promotional codes are only valid when received directly from The Magdalene Effect through our official channels (website, email, social media).
Invalid Codes
- Codes obtained via browser extensions (e.g., Honey, Capital One Shopping, Rakuten), coupon websites, or other third-party channels are invalid and will not be accepted.
- We reserve the right to reject codes from unauthorized sources.
Personal Vouchers
- Personal vouchers, including loyalty credits, referral discounts, and compensation vouchers, are issued to specific clients and are non-transferable.
- By using a personal voucher, you confirm that you are the intended recipient and received it directly from us.
General Terms
- When purchasing services, all payment obligations must be honored.
- The price displayed at checkout in our booking system applies, even if it differs from the price on the website.
Data Security & GDPR
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. As a therapy practice, we process sensitive personal data and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract fulfillment: We process your data to deliver the services you have purchased (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Consent: For sensitive personal data, we obtain your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)).
- Legal obligation: Accounting data is stored in accordance with Danish bookkeeping law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

Security Measures

Browser Extensions and Data Security
To protect the confidentiality of your session information, we recommend disabling browser extensions that collect browsing data (e.g., Honey, Rakuten) when using our booking platform. These extensions may potentially track which services you book.
